Michael Greenwald is a co-founder and board member of PDTI, bringing training in mathematics, chemistry, and medicine.

Holding a BS in Mathematics and Chemistry from Westminster College, Michael is currently a second-year medical student at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. One of the Founders of Utah Research Institute (URI), He founded Pioneering Deep Tech Institute (PDTI) on a core conviction: researchers do their best work when they retain full autonomy over their ideas, work, and intellectual property.

At PDTI, Michael focuses on expanding equitable access to research infrastructure and removing systemic barriers that stifle innovation. He ensures that the institute serves researchers and clinicians—not extractive systems that drain their potential.
